Cookie Policy

What cookies this website sets, why, and how to control them.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so the site can recognise your browser on a later request. This policy covers cookies set by this website (mydix.com and its subdomains) and explains the small number we actually use.

In summary

This website currently sets only the cookies strictly necessary to make it work — a session cookie and a security token. It does not use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies, and does not sell or share cookie data with advertisers.

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, no cookie consent banner is shown. If that changes — for example if analytics is added — this policy and the site's consent mechanism will both be updated before the new cookies are set, not after.

Cookies this website sets

  • Session cookie — keeps you on the same session as you move between pages and submit forms (for example the demo, onboarding and contact forms). It holds no personal data itself; it is deleted when your browser session ends or after a period of inactivity.
  • CSRF token cookie (XSRF-TOKEN) — a security measure that confirms a form submission actually came from this website, protecting you from cross-site request forgery. It is read by the page itself, not by any third party.

Both are "strictly necessary" cookies under applicable guidance — the site cannot function without them, so they are set automatically and are not an opt-in choice.

What we do not use

  • No analytics cookies (for example Google Analytics).
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No social media tracking pixels.
  • No third-party cookies of any kind at the time this policy was last updated.

Other browser storage

Some parts of the site use your browser's local storage, rather than a cookie, to remember an interface preference on your device — for example which filter you last selected. That storage stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is not covered by cookie consent rules in most jurisdictions because it is not sent with page requests.

Links to third-party sites and services

Pages on this site link out to third-party services — for example the hospitality partner product, social sharing links on blog articles, and the payment gateway used by individual properties. Those destinations set their own cookies under their own policies once you are on their site; this policy covers only mydix.com itself.

Controlling and clearing cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser's settings. Because the cookies on this site are strictly necessary, blocking them may prevent forms from submitting correctly or may sign you out of an in-progress session — there is no tracking cookie to opt out of, because none is set.

  • Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies from Settings → Privacy (the exact path varies by browser and version).
  • Clearing cookies for this site simply starts a fresh session the next time you visit — it does not delete any account data.

Changes to this policy

If we introduce cookies for analytics, marketing or any other non-essential purpose, we will update this policy to describe them and put the appropriate consent mechanism in place before they are set. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

This policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal data more broadly.
